Helllllooo February!
It's crazy to think that next week I'll be 25 & in 6 short months Annabell is going to be turning 4!
This week has been interesting to say the least, Dan left Sunday morning to head to Greece for a couple weeks. Since Sunday, Anna has been sneaking into my bed at night and tells me "I have to cuddle you Mom, okay?". How can I say no to that?! The only thing is, she refuses to sleep on Dan's side of the bed because she keeps saying that he's going to come home from the gym soon, so she takes up most of my side of the bed and anytime I move over she worms her way back to me. She doesn't quite understand that he's not home. Hopefully this little sleep regression of her's ends when Dan comes back, she takes up enough room in the bed as it is, I can't imagine trying to sleep in the same bed as both of them, lol.
Last week a friend gave us a book shelf & Annabell has taken it upon herself to decorate, lol. Every day I find something of her's hanging out on one of the shelves.
It'll be cute until I wake up and find a creepy baby doll staring at me.
The first night alone, Annabell requested "rainbow sprinkled pancakes" for dinner. When your child looks at you with her beautiful little blue eyes and politely asks for rainbow sprinkled pancakes, you figure out how to make them & eat them with her, even if they are sickly sweet and give you a horrible stomach ache afterwards. She also wanted to make blueberry muffins, so we hung out in the kitchen baking for what seemed like forever. I love that she wants to help out in the kitchen. She loves to pour all the ingredients into a bowl and she HAS to mix it all herself. I may or may not have pretended to hear my phone ring and asked her to go get it so I could mix all the clumps out of the muffin mix, lol.
I braved the cold and took Annabell to the park yesterday. If you know me, then you know how much I HATE the cold weather. I am impatiently counting down the days until we get some warmer weather. Anna didn't mind the cold weather at all, she had so much running around and playing with a few of the kids who were there. When we left to go home, she was completely soaked from head to toe because her and the kids all decided to roll around in the snow that was left. She practically ran home so she could take a nice warm bubble bath.
I finally braved driving the streets here in Germany by myself. I don't know why, but I was so paranoid of driving here. Maybe because all the street signs are confusing and instead of using MPH, they go by km/h which can get a little confusing. Either way, I was terrified of driving here. But, today I had to go to base to check the mail while Dan is out of town, so obviously I had to drive. I don't know why I was so nervous, it was easy and it was actually fun being able to drive again. Annabell and I sang Taylor Swift songs all the way to base, checked the mail and then headed to the BX to grab a late lunch. Obviously, Annabell loved her cheese roll-up. She ate it as fast as she possibly could so she could go play in the play-place while I finished my lunch.
After the play-place, we did a little shopping and I may have bought myself an early birthday gift. (insert like 5 billion heart emoji's here)! They FINALLY set up the book section in the BX since they got rid of the book store, I could have sat there for hours browsing books but Annabell had other plans. She did so well that I let her pick out a toy and when we walk by the movies she saw a Doc Mcstuffins DVD and somehow got it into the cart without me noticing, lol. She's been asking for a Doc movie for awhile now and it was on sale so I figured why not.
You know you're a mom when you spend your birthday money on your daughter, haha.
Until next week..
