It's already the last week of February, how crazy is that?! I know I say this a lot, but it really feels like time is just flying by. Before we know it, it will be July and we will have been in Germany for an entire year. As much as I love being here in Germany, I miss America, so each month down is another small victory for me, lol.
This week Anna has talked about going to school NON-STOP. Every day she wakes up, eats breakfast, gets dressed and packs her backpack with books and toys and then packs her lunch box with whatever leftover food we have in the fridge and a piece of cheese. I'm sure she saw it somewhere on one of her many favorite television shows, but watching her learns all these new things just amazes me every day. Unfortunately, she still has another whole year and a half before she starts school, but it doesn't stop her from pretending to be in class with all her toys and books.
She has also decided that her new job is being Doctor Annabell and every one in the house is her new patient. All weekend she has been making sure that Dan and I are in perfect health with plenty of check up's, cuddles and kisses.
Since all of us were feeling 100% better after dealing with a nasty cold last weekend, we were able to get out of the house for a bit. I finally got to ride in our loaner BMW and it's made me even more excited to have ours built. Let me explain, we fnally traded in our horrible, horrible Saturn and bought a brand new BMW 320i. We got an amazing deal and while ours is in the factory being built, they gave us a loaner one to use. The car is amazing AND once we get back to America Dan will buy his truck and that means I get the BMW all to myself. Needless to say, I am a little too excited about having it as "my" first car since we will not be trading this car in, like ever. I guess it pays off to be patient & have a husband who loves me. ;)
As I was saying before I got side-tracked about the car, we finally got out of the house this weekend. All we did was go to the BX so Dan could get his hair cut, but while he waited Anna and I ventured into the BX to shop. There's nothing I love more than taking Annabell to the toy section and letting her pick out a toy. She goes down every single aisle, picking up toys and then putting them back until she finds "that perfect toy". This time it was a Lalaloopsy doll, the moment she saw it she jumped up and down in excitement and I knew we were finally done looking at the toys, lol. I was also able to find a book that I've been dying to own and it was a pretty successful shopping trip for us girls.
On the way home we stopped at Nick's Chicken and grabbed lunch, it's probably one of my favorite places to eat here in Germany, just think KFC but 100x better.
The rest of the weekend we stayed home and decided to be lazy. Dan bought some GTA game and played it all of Sunday, Annabell thought it was hilarious to watch him crash his car into street poles and trash cans. I was finally able to start re-reading one of my Sarah Dessen novels, I've been wanting to re-read all her books for a couple years now so it was a perfect ending to my weekend. Well that, and the chocolate chip pancakes I made for dinner. :)
