This last week has been BUSY. Dan finally went back to his normal work schedule, I got back on track with my work outs, Annabell has almost mastered the art of dressing her barbies all by herself and Khaleesi finally got a bigger cage!
We celebrated Dan's birthday last weekend! Annabell and I woke up early to make him a delicious breakfast, and then we spent the afternoon making cupcakes, per Anna's request.
We made pancakes with strawberries, turkey bacon & of course coffee, which is the most important part of breakfast.
All morning Annabell begged to make the cupcakes, so when I told her it was finally time she threw her own little party. I loathe baking, but Anna makes it fun. She loves to mix it all by herself, and pour all the ingredients into the bowl. I'm literally not allowed to do anything except put them in the oven and start the timer.
They both loved their cupcakes and ate about 10 each before the night was over, lol!
I had to give Annabell her own cupcake with a candle on it, as soon as she saw Dan's she flipped and said "But I NEED one Mom, I need it!". Hard to say no to that adorable face.
We also went to the most amazing sushi restaurant here in Germany, Sushi Hana. Every time we tried to go it was closed, we finally caught it on a day when it was open and we ate waaayyy too much. But it was so good, the eel rolls are my absolute favorite!
We also FINALLY got Khaleesi a bigger cage. She spends most of her days running around the house and the porch, but her cage was just so small for her giant self. As we were driving home I saw a dog crate sitting in the trash a few houses down and I totally had to grab it. It's in perfect condition and Khaleesi is loving all the space. We were finally able to give her a little cardboard house to sleep in and she loves it. Eventually we want to add some ramps for her to run on, but for now this giant dog crate works great!
It's been sunny and hot all week, but on Monday or Tuesday we got a crazy rain storm, Annabell had to grab her coat and go splash in the puddles it left on our porch. I use to HATE when it rained here, because it literally rains all the time here, but now that Spring is here I cry for joy every time it rains because it brings the pollen count down. My allergies have been so bad, every day I have massive allergy attacks just from leaving the windows open. I hope that where the military sends us next the pollen count is LOW during Spring time!
One of the "newest" things Anna has done this week is reading by herself. She obviously doesn't "read" the words, she just makes up stories about the book, but it's so cute to hear the crazy stories she comes up with. She loves reading to me before bed and I caught her reading to her baby dolls earlier this week.
The many faces of Annabell!
This upcoming weekend we finally get to go pick up our BMW! This last week has been nothing but car troubles, our VW's battery went out on us twice, so we had to take it to a mechanic and they have had it all week, when it was a minor part to change. Needless to say, being car less for a week has driven Dan insane. I'm so glad we are picking up our second car this weekend so we never have to deal with being car less again!
I'm also excited because the BMW dealership is paying for a hotel for us for the night since the pick up location is a few hours away from here. So we get a mini-vacation away from "home".
It's definitely much needed after the stressful week we've had.
For those of you who actually read these weekly updates, thank you!
Until next week..<3
