November, it's been great!

November 2014

I seriously cannot believe that it's already December. November went by way too fast for my liking. This last month was pretty uneventful for us, we didn't go out much, mainly because Dan worked weekend duty twice and that meant Annabell and I hung out at home and relaxed. One of our biggest accomplishments this month was that we were able to finish all of Annabell's Christmas shopping & we had a pretty delicious Thanksgiving!

Annabell saw my camera and tried to hide from me, I was a little faster though :)

Since Dan was on weekend duty a lot this month, I used the extra time to take Annabell to the park. It has been slowly but surely getting colder here in Germany, so finding a day where the weather wasn't too bad and it wasn't raining was a challenge. If you know our child, you know that she doesn't like staying cooped up in the house all day. She has a hay day just walking with me to take the garbage outside! We were able to go to the park several times this month and she loved every minute of it. She even made a couple friends at the park this last time. As much as I love that she plays so well be herself, it's nice to see her play with other kids and have such a great time.

Annabell & Caitlynn!
Speaking of new friends, Annabell finally made a friend her age that lives close by. Ever since we met them Anna has asked every single day if we can go see her new friend Caitlynn. They are both so adorable together and I can't wait to get more photos of them.

Thanksgiving dinner this year was delicious as always. I'm lucky to have found a man who enjoys cooking, because we all know that isn't my strong suit. He woke up at 5am to start getting everything cooked, he even made coffee and let Anna and I sleep in as long as we wanted. Since he did all the cooking, I figured the least I could do was make pancakes for breakfast. Pancakes are Dan and Anna's absolute favorite food in the world so it has ended up being a weekly breakfast/dinner in our house, lol. After all the cooking was done, Dan packed it all up into the car and brought dinner to all the men and women who were working the base gates this Thanksgiving. Obviously my husband has a heart in there somewhere ;) Once he got home we finally got to eat our amazing meal.
Annabell decided to have waffles for dinner.

We had been telling Annabell that we weren't going to decorate the tree until after Thanksgiving dinner, she had been begging me all week to put on the decorations. So, as Dan fell asleep on the couch after he ate his Thanksgiving meal, Annabell ate her waffle as fast as she possibly could and started decorating the tree all on her own, lol. We even gave Anna a small little tree to keep in her room. This year she is so excited about Christmas and it's adorable. I know as the years go on it's just going to get better, but this year is her first year of actually understanding Christmas so it's extra special for me. It's been exactly a week since we decorated the tree and Anna has redecorated it about 10 times. By the time Christmas actually gets here all the ornaments are going to be all strung up on the bottom of the tree.

The world's goofiest kid award goes to Annabell this month.

These are just a few of my favorite photos from November, Anna is SUCH a camera ham!

I guess I shouldn't be surprised though, I mean look at her goofy looking parents!
